Le Mans Series
Charouz Racing System entered prestigious Le Mans Series 2007 in premier category LMP1 with prototype Lola B07/17 Judd. Already in its first season there was an evident potential of the team and the prototype showed both speed and reliability. Team´s drivers Jan Charouz and Stefan Mucke did a fantastic job qualifying their car in second place in the opening round, 1000 km of Monza, even they just debuted. They finished just behind dominating manufacturer Peugeot´s cars powered by more powerful diesel engine. However the best result of the season came at Valencia, where Jan and Stefan finished second overall. At Nürburgring they finished just behind the podium, when achieved fourth place. Thanks to their results Jan and Stefan were appreciated by the reputable British magazine Autosport as two of top 10 LMS drivers of the year 2007.
